Busy Bee....

I can not believe how long its been since my last blogg. I was so busy with the new addition and Ian at home for the summer. Anyway here is all the updates on our lovely family life.

April 6, 2011 9:00pm... Our little girl came into this world. Perfectly 7lb 4oz and 18 1/2 inches.

Mia Angeline Santilena

Mia="My" Angeline="Angel"

Charlie and I didn't argue on the name because we've always said if we have a little girl her name will be Mia. We are so lucky to have named her Angeline, after grandma santilena. We hope that she can be kind, caring and joyful person just like grandma was. We love her to pieces and her big brother Ian was so excited to have a little sister. I am so lucky to have her as my little girl. She is perfect in everyway. She is now sleeping through the night!!! {I'm so lucky!} She loves to smile and chat baby talks to everyone. Last visit to the dr. She wass 69% in height. 45% in weight. She is growing growing growing!!!! What I'm most amazed is her eyes are bright blue right now and I know it may change eventually but I can have a little hope right? How cool would it be if it stayed! I think I was meant to have a little girl... I love to craft! Now I can make all the hair accesories and make her tons of dresses.

Ian is now adjusted to having a little sister . He is so proud to be a big brother and loves his sissy to pieces. I constantly catch him laying down with her on the playmat playing and chatting. I am so proud of him. He graduated kindergarten at the end of May. He received "high honor roll." Only 6 kids were chosen to be on the high honor roll from the kindergarten and he was one of them! He got 100% on all of his district assessment test and graduated with a perfect "o"= {outstanding} on his report card. I was so excited to see him standing up on the stage receiving this award. Can a mom be more proud of her son?! He just now started 1st grade. Today was his 3rd day back. He so far loves the big playground and the recess time with all of his friends. We had a lot of fun this summer. I tried fitting in everything possible since it was so short. {2mons, that's it} We took a really nice family vacation to Montana and Wyoming... which I will post it all on the next blogg. {We have so much to share} He also went to San Diego County Fair..[a.k.a Delmar Fair], OC fair, Beaches, pool, disneyland... etc. I tried my hardest to keep him off the couch and video games lol. I really enjoyed having him home with me all summer. He got to enjoy his time with his little sister and mama.

As for Charlie and I, our everyday life changed 360. We went from having a routine with a 5yr old to adjusting to the infant schedule. I really thought having 2 kids was going to be a challenge but it's been really mellow and easy. I think having our children 5 years apart was the best decision for Charlie and I. I was able to have a one on one bonding time with Ian. I got to raise and teach and watch him grow. Now that he is in school all day. I get to have a one on one bonding time with Mia. I enjoy every moment with my children and I am so blessed to have them in my life.
Thought I share this lovely quote I found on pinterest... Enjoy!

she is almost here!!!!

Ok so count down has finally began... I have about 3 1/2 wks left of this pregnancy. Seems like last month has gone by so fast. We had a lot going on with babyshower, bridal shower, charlie's show, bachelor/bachelorette party, working on our house etc..

so the baby shower was last week and it turned out gorgeous. My friend Indigo, sis-in-law olivia and maria did an amazing job putting it all together. I had a blast catching up with all of my old friends. It was a lot of fun.

Last week was St patty's day and Ian had a kindergarten project which he needed to build a leprechaun trap. Charlie and Ian worked really hard on the trap and Ian and I got to decorate the trap with his Aunties (Angie and Missy). It turned out so cute. He also brought home his journal page on his experience with st. patty's day. He wrote...

"Today was sampatixday (St. Patrick's day). Wen I went in the clasroom there was cloos (clues). Thin (then) the lepkon broke the chiljins (childrens) traps. Thin (then) he gav us a note. Thin (then) he said srree (sorry). The funeist (funniest) prte (part) was win (when) the lepkon hid it the camru (camera). "

As you can see he's a very good writer for his age and he loves loves looooves to read all of his books and he is doing quite well with it. He's getting to be such a big boy. I asked him if he is ready to be a big brother couple days ago and he said "no not yet" so I asked him why. He told me "well, my room is not clean yet so I'm not ready."lol.

so many many years ago....

I set this blog acct back in the day when Ian was 2 yrs old and never wrote or kept up with it. Hopefully I can keep up with it this time... :-)

I am officially done working as of Sunday and I am very relieved since baby Mia is coming on April 7th. We still have so much to do before she comes and so taking time off of work was much needed for me.

Ian is getting ready to be a big brother as well and we think that he will be happy to have someone else growing up with him. He's been waiting to be a big brother for a while now so we are very excited.

Charlie is excited as well becoming a father of two. One boy and one girl, we couldn't have asked for better. He is glad he had a boy first so Ian can always look after his little princess. He has been working on the nursery and looks at me like why would u put me through the craziest projects? but he loves me enough he hasn't complained too much about it.

We also got maternity pictures done on valentines day by studio a photography and it turned out amazing and can't wait to share with everyone!!!!
